Unity Park

Unity Park is a stunning transformation of the historic Grand Palace compound into a world-class recreational and cultural destination. Located in the heart of Addis Ababa, this ambitious project opened in 2019 and showcases Ethiopia's rich history, diverse cultures, and vision for the future.

The park features beautifully restored palace buildings, including the former residences of Ethiopian emperors, now converted into museums displaying royal artifacts, historical photographs, and treasures from various eras. Visitors can explore the throne rooms, banquet halls, and private quarters of rulers like Emperor Menelik II and Haile Selassie.

Beyond the historical exhibits, Unity Park offers lush gardens, a mini zoo featuring Ethiopian wildlife (including lions), cultural pavilions representing Ethiopia's diverse ethnic groups, and modern recreational facilities. The park symbolizes national unity and serves as a bridge between Ethiopia's glorious past and its aspirations for peace and prosperity.
